Professional nurses excel in an environment that acknowledges and rewards the individual clinician. John Dempsey Hospital is proud of its accomplished nursing staff, many of whom have earned advanced degrees or completed specialized training in areas such as cardiology, emergency medicine and neonatology. In fact, three of our nurse practitioners were among the first to earn their doctorate in nursing practice degrees from the UConn School of Nursing, a new doctorate program focused on enhanced clinical care.
