Making the Hartford Region a Healthcare Destination
Thank you to all who joined us last week as Governor Rell signed the landmark UConn Health Network legislation, together with leaders from the General Assembly, representatives from our Board of Directors, unions, and partner hospitals. Those of you who were unable to join us can visit Health Center Today for video coverage of the event. It was a banner day for the Health Center, and in particular, for the John Dempsey Hospital which is poised for tremendous advances in the months and years ahead.
Earlier this spring, the Health Center participated in interviews with Forbes Magazine about the potential for the Hartford region to become a nationally-recognized healthcare destination. With the passage of the UConn Health Network legislation, this article is very timely. I encourage all of you to read the piece from the current issue of Forbes. I am sure you will agree this is very positive attention for the Health Center and our region.
