UConn Health Center: A Smoke-Free Campus
It is a milestone day for us. Today, on the 2010 Great American Smokeout, the UConn Health Center becomes a 100 percent smoke-free campus.
It is our duty to promote healthy living and provide a healthy environment by eliminating tobacco smoke everywhere on our grounds. We do this for the benefit of everyone—our patients, visitors, volunteers and vendors, as well as faculty, staff and students. Let’s set a good example as a leader in health care.
You will find information about our smoke-free movement throughout the campus, where Clean Air booths will be in place throughout the day. There you’ll also learn about the many smoking cessation resources available here at the Health Center. Learn more at http://cleanair.uchc.edu.
Please join me in celebrating the proud fact that we now are an entirely smoke-free campus.
