Bioscience Connecticut
By now, I hope you have all had a chance to learn more about Governor Dannel P. Malloy’s bold new plan to bolster bioscience research, create lasting and sustainable job growth and improve healthcare for generations to come. To all who were able to attend yesterday’s news conference: thank you for providing such a warm welcome to the Governor and the elected officials who joined us.
As we told the Governor yesterday, the UConn Health Center family stands ready to catalyze all aspects of this forward-thinking proposal. Along with creating jobs and meeting the public health needs of our state, this initiative helps the UConn Health Center realize its full potential as an integrated academic medical center and leader in education, research and clinical care.
To learn more about the proposal, please visit Health Center Today where news reports will be uploaded throughout the day.
Sincerely,
Cato T. Laurencin, M.D., Ph.D.
Vice President for Health Affairs
Dean, UConn School of Medicine
