Bioscience Connecticut Moves Forward
Governor Dannel P. Malloy's innovative Bioscience Connecticut took a major step forward last night when the state Senate passed the bill. Bioscience Connecticut now advances to the state House of Representatives for consideration.
The Health Center community remains extremely grateful to the Governor for his leadership on this proposal to jumpstart the Connecticut economy, create short and long term jobs and help to meet the ongoing healthcare needs of our state for generations to come. We want to thank those members of the Senate who have embraced the proposal and look forward to working with the House of Representatives on this important project.
I look forward to sharing more news about the progress of Bioscience Connecticut in the near future.
Sincerely,
Cato T. Laurencin, M.D., Ph.D.
Vice President for Health Affairs
Dean, UConn School of Medicine
