Changes in CICATS Leadership
The Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science, known as CICATS, was formally launched in 2009 and has become an active force for translational research in the UConn Health Center community and the region.
CICATS is announcing two changes in its leadership structure. Victor Hesselbrock, Ph.D., is now the Co-Director of CICATS. In addition, Marc Lalande, Ph.D., has become Chair of the CICATS Scientific Advisory Board, succeeding Ernesto Canalis, M.D.
I am very grateful to Dr. Canalis for his service to CICATS and commitment to translational research. Please join me in extending best wishes to Drs. Hesselbrock and Lalande in their new roles with CICATS.
Cato T. Laurencin, M.D., Ph.D.
Vice President for Health Affairs
Dean, UConn School of Medicine
