Message to the UConn Health Center Community

You may have seen an article in today's Hartford Courant saying that Governor Dannel P. Malloy is preparing a plan to make Connecticut a leader in bioscience research and job development. The Governor's plan is being developed to revitalize our economy, provide needed expansion of our healthcare workforce, and elevate our schools of medicine and dental medicine.

A UConn Health Center faculty group, along with members of senior leadership at the Health Center and the University, has been working with the Governor on his vision for Connecticut's future.

The Governor's vision is bold and innovative, and one that we all hope for and share.

I look forward to providing more news of this initiative in the future.
