Messages from the Executive Vice President

Our Most Valuable Asset
We recently honored 120 employees, representing all areas of the UConn Health Center, who contributed 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service to our academic medical center. Please be sure to visit Health Center Today for a complete list of honorees. I consider our long-time employees and their gifts of time and talent to our institution our most valuable asset. I congratulate them on their achievement and thank them sincerely for their service and loyalty.
Our celebration led me to reflect on how their collective knowledge and experience benefits us tremendously in so many ways.
They are our people who know from years of practice the most efficient way to get a job done … who can reach into memory to explain why certain procedures were instituted for the better … who serve as witnesses to the evolution and growth of our Health Center and share this insight with others.
We would not be where we are today, and where we are headed tomorrow, without the dedication of all our employees, especially those who have stuck with us for the long term. We will look forward to their continued advice and contributions.
I look forward to marking many more milestones, both large and small, with all of you as we work together toward a promising and prosperous future for the UConn Health Center.
