Messages from the Executive Vice President
December 11, 2013
If there’s one word to describe the UConn Health Center in 2013, it’s transformation.
A year ago there was dust and demolition. Today, we are on our way with nearly completed construction and renovation projects as part of Bioscience Connecticut. Today, we are recognized by The Joint Commission for quality care. We have maintained a strong research portfolio. This fall, we welcomed some of the most academically distinguished students in our history to our Schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Graduate School.
We are a new UConn Health Center, thanks to your hard work and dedication. We have another new year ahead of us as we prepare to move into the new outpatient pavilion, as construction progresses on our new hospital tower and research laboratory, and as we become even more accessible and responsive to our patients, students and staff.
This holiday season, my wish is that everyone takes time to appreciate how far we have come and joins me in recommitting to our shared goals for UConn Health 2020 in the year ahead.
Wonder what others in the Health Center community are wishing for this year? Please enjoy this delightful holiday video to find out!
