Vice President for Ambulatory Care

I am pleased to announce that Marianne Dess-Santoro will join the Health Center next month as Vice President for Ambulatory Care. This is a new position that will provide oversight for all outpatient clinics, including UMG and hospital-based clinics.

In partnership with Dr. Denis Lafreniere, the physician director of UMG, Marianne will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the delivery of patient-centered care, overall service delivery and performance improvement in outpatient settings.

Marianne is an accomplished executive who currently serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at Yale School of Medicine and Yale Medical Group. She has been with Yale since 1997 and previously served as Chief Operating Officer of the Medical Group. Marianne has an extensive background in developing new business services, enhancing practice operations, negotiating managed care agreements; as well as implementing an outpatient EMR. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. She begins her new role at the Health Center in late February.

Please join me in welcoming Marianne to the Health Center and thanking Elizabeth Bolt for her outstanding interim administrative leadership of the UConn Medical Group.

Thank you.
