Fifth Annual White Coat Gala
Dear Faculty and Staff,
We are pleased to announce the Fifth Annual White Coat Gala to benefit the UConn Health Center taking place on April 12, 2014 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. This very special event brings together our entire community—grateful patients, friends, donors, faculty and staff—to celebrate UConn and raise funds to support our mission. Proceeds will benefit our Bioscience Connecticut projects.
We are grateful to all of the sponsors, guests and volunteers who make this event successful year after year. The lead corporate sponsor is Cigna. Founding title sponsors are Richard and Jane Lublin.
The Carole and Ray Neag Medal of Honor will be awarded to three outstanding honorees for their contributions to medicine. Recipients of this award are selected based on their legacies in treatment, education, public service or philanthropy. It is my pleasure to announce this year’s honorees:
- Richard and Jane Lublin, philanthropists
- Irene Engel, B.S., R.N., C.A.N., president of the UConn Health Center Auxiliary
- Cigna, corporate philanthropist
There are several ways you can get involved!
Volunteer: Employees who want to get involved with the gala are welcome! Please contact Ellie Conrad Claffey by email or at x1165 if you are interested in volunteering the day of the event.
Sponsorship: Please contact Dina Plapler by email or at 860-336-9415.
