Prospective
Students
The Center for Biomaterials provides training and research opportunities for graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) students,
pre-doctoral dental and medical students, residents and fellows.
Students should contact individual
faculty to discuss training,
rotation and summer research opportunities.
Biomaterials graduate students apply for programs in
biomaterials through the
Biomedical
Sciences (BMS) field of study, located at the University of Connecticut Health Center. The biomaterials graduate program at the UConn Health Center provides a strong emphasis on
cellular and molecular biology, along with training in biomaterials synthesis and characterization. Students would select the skeletal, craniofacial and oral biology area of
concentration, which has a close collaboration with biomaterials. Faculty in the Center for Biomaterials are also available to mentor graduate students at the Storrs campus through the
Biomedical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering programs. |
