Sample Submission:

Samples can be submitted to Nancy Ryan in L5074. Contact by phone prior to submission is encouraged especially for first time users (x2729). Advice on sample fixation, orientation and processing is available for uninitiated investigators either through Nancy or Kevin Claffey (x8713).

Samples should come with a description of the samples, total number and definition of labeling system to help reduce errors associated with identification of each sample, block and slides. See slide labeling templates for downloading adhesive sticker templates in MS Word format.

The cryostat may be reserved for selected time periods in person in the histology core. Anyone unfamiliar with the cryostat functions can have them reviewed by Nancy. Heavy cryostat use necessitates careful post-use cleaning procedures expected from all users.
