We
welcome your application to our program through
ERAS which we use exclusively for
our recruiting process.
We
begin reviewing application in October and our interviews are scheduled
in December and January of each year. We interview several
days a week for those two months. Deadline for applying to our
program this year is December 15, 2009.
The
minimum criteria for applying to our program is:

three letters of
recommendation, one from a family physician
·
passing scores
are required on the first attempt of USMLE Steps 1 and 2 (otherwise we
do
not have a minimum cut
off score.)
·
Dean’s Letter
and Medical School transcript, personal statement
·
Medical school
graduation within 3 years of applying
·
US
clinical experience for anyone out of medical school more than 1 year
We interview international medical school graduates who have
demonstrated an outstanding academic record and a commitment to Family
Medicine with US
medical experience through transitional or internship year in the US.
The
University of
Connecticut sponsors J-1
visas only. Our department does not offer observerships or
externships.
