Fellows spend 70% of time at their assigned block rotation site. Fellows spend 1/2 day per week at their continuity site, 1/2 day per week in didactic conferences, and 1/2 day per week (year 1) in independent/elective time.
Fellows take no in-hospital call. Fellows take call from home for the University practice, Monday-Thursday during Acute Care Geriatrics block rotations* and approximately 7 weekends per year, with faculty geriatricians.
Fellows are allowed 3 weeks per year vacation time and unlimited educational meetings time, with approval of the Program Director.
Second year fellows design the schedule year schedule as a group.
