Medicine/Pediatric Residency Program
Kiki Nissen, M.D.   Mark Greenstein, M.D.

Overview
The Medicine/Pediatrics (Med/Peds) Residency Training Program was established in 1996 at the University of Connecticut. The residency is a four-year program, which is divided equally to allow for twenty-two block rotations in both Medicine and Pediatrics. The curriculum of the Med/Peds Program involves core rotations in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in inpatient, outpatient, and specialty rotations.

For their core experiences in Internal Medicine, the Med/Peds residents rotate between the University of Connecticut Health Center and Hartford Hospital. They have the majority of their Pediatric training at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Elective experiences can be chosen at any of the affiliated hospitals and many practices in the greater Hartford area.
