Welcome to the University of Connecticut Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program web site. We are very proud of our residents who graduate as outstanding clinicians, teachers, researchers and scholars in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

I will highlight four of our strengths. First, the clinical volume that each resident cares for is excellent. Second, we have two major hospitals where every resident sees multiple ways to handle any given situation. Third, we encourage every resident to teach her/his colleagues, junior residents and medical students. Fourth, we constantly evaluate the performance of our residents and faculty in order to improve our program.

Finally, there are more than 80 hours in a week and there is much more to life than medicine. We understand that when the work is done time should be devoted to family, friends, fun and recreation.
