Lori A. LaCapra LCSW, CEAP

Lori LaCapra is a Counselor in the Employee Assistance Program at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She provides Employee Assistance Program services to employees and family members of UCHC as well as several other state agencies and other employers.

She holds a Masters degree in Social Work and is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Ms. LaCapra has been in the EAP field since 1984. She has previously worked as the Director of EAP services at The Village for Families & Children, Inc. and as an EAP national trainer and consultant at CIGNA.

Ms. LaCapra has a particular interest in couples issues, loss and grief counseling, bereavement in children and substance abuse evaluation. She has conducted a number of workshops on a variety of topics including Stress Management, Managing Change, Team Building, Mental Health Issues in the Workplace and Conflict Resolution.
