Nancy J. Simcox MS

Nancy J. Simcox is a research industrial hygienist at the Center for Indoor Environments and Health at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She works with physicians and scientists at the Center to develop exposure assessment protocols for indoor air quality research. She also plays a pro-active consulting role with patients who are interested in obtaining health and safety information. As a service, she conducts workplace site visits in support of clinical care of patients in the OEM clinic.
She has a Masters degree in industrial hygiene from the University of Washington. She has previously worked as a research industrial hygienist for the Field Research and Consultation Group at the University of Washington. She also managed many field studies and coordinated industrial hygiene activities for the Pesticide Exposure Assessment Laboratory at the University of Washington.
Ms. Simcox has a particular interest in occupational exposure assessment related to indoor air quality, pesticides, and reproductive hazards. She has published several articles related to the following topics: pesticides, silica, hard metal, and lead.
