The University of Connecticut School of Medicine Residency and Fellowship Programs
Application Process
Each program has their own application requirements. Most require a completed application form, CV, Dean's letter, transcript, USMLE scores, and three letters of recommendation (at least two from the Department; one of these must be from the Chairman). Graduates from international medical schools are also required to have an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate. The following programs are using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to process their applications: Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Primary Care Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Nuclear Medicine (both programs), Orthopaedics, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Radiology, Surgery, and Urology. For all other programs you should contact the program directly for their application. Interviews are by invitation. Once the application is completed, the candidate will be notified by letter or email and asked to call for an interview date. The University accepts international candidates on J-1 visas sponsored by ECFMG. |
