UConn Expert Receives “Family Building Award”
Dr. Claudio Benadiva Honored by the American Fertility Association
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Claudio Benadiva, M.D., a fertility specialist
with the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services at the University of
Connecticut Health Center, was recently honored by the American
Fertility Association.
Dr. Benadiva received a 2004 “Family Building Award” for his ongoing
support of the AFA mission, and in particular, his commitment to help
staff the AFA’s interactive web site which offers support and
information 24-hours a day to couples facing infertility issues.
At the Health Center, Dr. Benadiva is lead physician with the Center
and is director of the in vitro fertilization lab. He has conducted
extensive research in reproductive health and is board certified in
obstetrics and gynecology, as well as reproductive endocrinology and
infertility. Dr. Benadiva lives in Farmington with his wife and two
children.
The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services offers many advanced
techniques to help patients achieve successful pregnancies. UConn was
one of the first IVF centers in Connecticut and is currently the largest
such center in the state. The Center recently opened a satellite office
in Hamden at 2080 Whitney Avenue for the convenience of patients in
Southern Connecticut.
