Pregnancy Planning Is Topic of November 4 Discovery Series
Planning, Reproductive Services, and Early Screening Options
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Couples who are thinking about starting a family or
adding to an existing one will hear experts in obstetrics, genetics, and
reproductive medicine speak at the next Discovery Series “Planning for
Pregnancy in the 21st Century,” Thursday, November 4, 7 to 9 p.m. in Keller
Auditorium.

UConn Health Center speakers and their topics include:
- Obstetrics and gynecology specialist Cathleen Campbell, M.D., who
will discuss the steps to take when planning for a pregnancy;
- Lead physician in the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services
John Nulsen, M.D., will talk about reproductive medicine and when a
couple should consider seeing a specialist in the field. He will also
give an overview of in vitro fertilization and information
about the latest advanced reproductive services available;
- James Egan, M.D., chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and
Gynecology, will talk about the new technologies and early screening
tests currently available.
