Dr. Karen L. Garibaldi Joins UConn Health Center
Primary Care Physician Sees Patients in UConn’s West Hartford Office
Farmington, Conn. – Providing comprehensive care for adolescents and
adults, Karen L. Garibaldi, M.D., M.P.H., recently joined the University
of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Garibaldi sees patients in the West
Hartford office of UConn Health Partners on 65 Kane Street.
“My role is to help patients maintain good health, to prevent disease
and to treat their acute and chronic conditions,” Dr. Garibaldi said.
Dr. Garibaldi is a graduate of Harvard University and the University
of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed a combined internship
and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the UConn School of
Medicine, as well as a fellowship in primary care research at Baylor
College of Medicine in Texas. In addition, Dr. Garibaldi earned a
masters degree in public health from the University of Texas, Houston
Health Sciences Center.
Before joining the UConn faculty, Dr. Garibaldi was based in Houston,
where she was an instructor in the department of family and community
medicine at Baylor, and a staff physician with the Deer Park Family
Practice, the Strawberry Health Center and the Northwest Health
Center-Harris County Hospital District.
