UConn Health Center Discovery Series Looks at Alzheimer’s Disease
FARMINGTON, CONN. – The medical and legal issues of memory disorders generally, and Alzheimer’s Disease in particular, will be the topic of the Discovery Series at UConn Health Center on Thursday, September 30.
Patrick Coll, M.D., associate director of the Center on Aging, will discuss early symptoms of Alzheimer’s, how the diagnosis is made and treatments that are available. Sandra Sherlock-White, chair of the Elder Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and an adjunct Professor of Law at UConn Law School, will discuss power of attorney, living trusts, living wills, health care agents
and voluntary and involuntary conservatorships.
The program, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. in the Health Center’s Keller Auditorium. Please register in advance for the program by calling 800-535-6232 or 860-679-7692.
