Dr. Tapas Bandyopadhyay Joins UConn Health Center
Pulmonary Specialist’s Focus is on Airway Disorders
FARMINGTON, CONN. - Tapas Bandyopadhyay “Banerjee,” M.D., has joined the staff of pulmonary/critical care medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Dr. Bandyopadhyay recently completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at the Health Center. Prior to that, he practiced pulmonary medicine at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center
in Hartford. He also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at the Health Center and served as resident and senior resident at hospitals in the
United Kingdom and India.
Dr. Bandyopadhyay earned his medical degree at Calcutta University. He was honored for his academic achievements, ranking first in the final medical degree examination, and the surgery
exam. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom, Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary
medicine, and board eligible in critical care medicine.
He will be seeing patients in all areas of pulmonary medicine with particular focus on airway disorders, such as asthma and emphysema. Appointments with Dr. Bandyopadhyay can be made by

Dr. Bandyopadhyay is a resident of Farmington.
