Dr. Adam Simmons Joins UConn Health Center
Neurologist with Expertise in Movement
Disorders
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Adam Simmons, M.D., a neurologist with
expertise in movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease,
tremors, Huntington’s disease, dystonia and more, is now seeing
patients at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Dr. Simmons offers advanced therapies for movement disorders,
including Botox and other interventions. In addition, he is
specially trained in the use of Kiiko Matsumoto's Japanese-style
acupuncture for the treatment of neurologic and pain conditions such
as headaches, neck pain and back pain.
Dr. Simmons is a graduate of Brown University and the University
of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed an internship in
internal medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and a
residency in neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in
Boston, where he also completed a fellowship in movement disorders.
During his training, Dr. Simmons completed a program on the
structural use of acupuncture for physicians at Harvard Medical
School.
