Dr. Craig Rodner Joins the Musculoskeletal Institute at UConn Health
Center
Orthopaedic Surgeon with Expertise in Hand and Wrist Surgery
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Craig Rodner, M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon with
specialized training in hand and wrist surgery is now seeing patients at
the University of Connecticut Health Center and the East Hartford office
of UConn Health Partners.
Dr. Rodner offers expert care for patients with conditions such as
carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures of the hand and wrist, tendon and
nerve injuries, sports injuries, arthritis of the hand and wrist, and
more.
“We have very successful and innovative interventions to offer
patients with carpal tunnel syndrome and other conditions affecting the
hand and wrist,” Dr. Rodner said. “We can help patients regain function
and strength.”
A South Windsor native, Dr. Rodner is a graduate of the UConn School
of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery.
In addition, he completed a fellowship in hand and wrist surgery at
Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital.
During his training, Dr. Rodner received numerous awards and
accolades including the UConn Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Cavazos
Award, the UConn School of Medicine Dean’s Award and more.
At UConn, Dr. Rodner is now part of the Department of Orthopaedic
Surgery and the new Musculoskeletal Institute – a comprehensive,
multi-service program offering specialized care for problems affecting
bones, joints and connective tissue. All services, from surgery to
physical therapy, are offered in the modern, new Medical Arts and
Research Building on the Farmington campus.
“Through the Musculoskeletal Institute, we offer patients world class
care with a local, friendly touch. Our services are conveniently located
in Farmington and we’re very pleased that Dr. Rodner will also be
offering care to patients in the East Hartford office of UConn Health
Partners,” said Jay R. Lieberman, M.D., the new chairman of the
Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
