Visual and Performance Art by UConn Health
Center Community January 25
FARMINGTON, Conn. – Scientists, nurses, librarians, physicians,
accountants and others at the UConn Health Center will share their
off-hour talents at a special exhibition Thursday, Jan. 25, 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. in the Food Court dining areas at the Health Center.
Performance art is from 10 to 1:15.
“Art: An Expression of Diversity” will feature the talents of
about 30 members of the Health Center community who will exhibit
their works, including sculpture, paintings, photography, furniture,
and other visual arts. “We have wonderful blend of visual and
performance arts,” said co-organizer Sandy Kressner, Education and
Development Specialist at UConn Health Center. “It’s a diverse and
rich example of what our employees do outside the workplace.
Performance artists include vocalists and a piano/violin ensemble
and feature a scientist, a dentist, and medical students. They’re
amazingly talented, says Kressner.
The exhibit, sponsored by the UConn Health Center Office of
Diversity and Equity and UConn Pride, a council of volunteer
employees, is open to the public.
The University of Connecticut Health Center includes the schools of
medicine and dental medicine, John Dempsey Hospital, the UConn Medical
