Free Program on Dental Implants
FARMINGTON, CONN. – Experts from the University of
Connecticut Health Center will give a presentation on dental implant
therapy Thursday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the UConn
campus in Storrs.
Scheduled speakers are David Shafer, D.M.D., and Thomas Taylor,
D.D.S., from the Center for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry at
the UConn Health Center’s New England Musculoskeletal Institute, and
Pamela Taxel, M.D., from the UConn Center for Osteoporosis. “Dental
Implants and Bone Health” is a presentation of Celebrate Women, the
Health Center’s free women’s health membership program.
“Dental implants can be a good solution for people who are
missing teeth or who have problems with their dentures,” Shafer
says. “We’ll explain what dental implants are, who might be a
candidate for them, and how they fit in to overall oral and bone
health.”
The information session is free; registration is required, by

Registration starts at 5:45 p.m. at the Alumni Center on Alumni
Drive on the Storrs campus.
