A Winning Smile
Keeping Your Smile Healthy is Focus of May 6 Discovery Series
FARMINGTON, CONN. – A smile can be the most eye-catching
feature of a face. With dentistry's many advances, individuals no
longer have to settle for stained, discolored or missing teeth.
During a May 6 Discovery Series program, experts with the
University of Connecticut Health Center will share information on
the best ways to keep your teeth white and how to choose among the
many whitening products on the market today. In addition, they will
present information about how natural-looking dental implants can be
a long-term solution to missing teeth or problematic dentures.
The program begins at 7 p.m. in the Health Center’s Keller
Auditorium. The Discovery Series is free but registration is
required by calling 800-535-6232.
Scheduled speakers are David Shafer, D.M.D., and Thomas Taylor,
D.D.S., from the Center for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry at
the UConn Health Center’s New England Musculoskeletal Institute, and
Jonathan Meiers, D.M.D., from the Division of Operative Dentistry,
Department of Reconstructive Sciences, UConn School of Dental
Medicine.

of medicine and dental medicine, the UConn Medical Group, University
