Here’s a Look at Some Programs of Interest
The Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center offers a complete range of services including preventive cardiology to help patients manage risk factors like cholesterol disorders, to today’s most sophisticated interventional and surgical procedures. In addition, we offer specialized services to manage high blood pressure, including treatment-resistant hypertension, as well as complete care to diagnose and treat vascular disorders such as peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurisms and carotid disease. The Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center provides evaluation, individual counseling, rehabilitation and treatment by physicians and nurses from multiple specialties. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has provided critical care for thousands of babies born prematurely, or with other medical problems, since 1975. It was the first NICU to serve northern and central Connecticut, and remains a leader in neonatal care, with one of two regional transport teams in the state.
