The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is a combination of two divisions, Anatomic Pathology and Lab Medicine, and many sub-specialty sections encompassing virtually every area in anatomic and clinical pathology. The Clinical Laboratory Outreach Program is dedicated to service physicians and their patients by providing a personalized relationship between clinical diagnostic testing and the physicians’ office. Our services include:

Raymond W. Ryan, Ph.D., A.B.M.M., has extensive knowledge and expertise in all areas of clinical microbiology. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Medical Microbiology and qualified in the areas of medical and public health microbiology.

Dr. Ryan received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut and completed a residency in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the UConn Health Center. Dr. Ryan has been a member of the faculty at the UConn Health Center since 1979.
