The UConn Dialysis Center is owned and operated by
Dialysis Clinic, Inc.
(DCI), one of the nation’s largest nonprofit dialysis providers.
The clinic has both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis available as
treatment options for patients with kidney disease. There are seventeen stations
available for hemodialysis at one time. Our physicians carefully monitor each
patient's progress and the same nurse and staff cares for each patient every
time he/she comes in. This ensures that the highest quality of care is provided
and that continuity of care is maintained.
Educational programs are provided to patients and their families about kidney
disease and various treatment options on a monthly basis.
DCI is based in Nashville and is affiliated with major universities and teaching
hospitals throughout the U.S. There are 210 DCI clinics nationwide. The UConn
Dialysis Center is one of its first clinics in New England.
