Interviews with Dr. Phillip Smith

Millions of men and women of all ages suffer from urinary incontinence and other voiding disorders. Even though it impacts the quality of life of so many people, it’s still one of those sensitive topics people are embarrassed to talk about – even with their doctor.

Dr. Phillip Smith is a urologist with the Center for Continence and Voiding Disorders at the UConn Health Center and an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of problems with urination, urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Dr. Smith talks with Carolyn Pennington, Office of Communications, about some of the most common voiding problems and the importance of a correct evaluation leading to the proper treatment.
