PAWS/Husky Hero Award

Objective

To increase the sense of identity, recognition and worth of UConn Health Center community members in their relationship to the university.

Eligibility

Employees and volunteers.

Criteria

An employee or volunteer who consistently performs above and beyond the expectations of their job and exhibits one or more of the following attributes is eligible for a PAWS Award.

Part of a team
Awesome attitude
Wonderful work ethic
Superior service

Process

A nomination form is submitted to the UConn Cares Council.

Announcement

An email will be sent to the recipient's manager and his or her name will appear in the HR newsletter.

Reward

When an employee or volunteer receives four PAWS, they are recognized as top dog – a Husky Hero – and are awarded a golden PAW sticker and pin, and a certificate of recognition. Their name will appear on the perpetual plaque on the Pride Wall located near the Food Court.
