Responses to Solicitation of Interest
The November 21st broadcast message on the
Conceptual
Framework from President Hogan and me provided much
background on our ongoing discussions with the area hospitals.
In that message we reported that, in response the University’s
Solicitation of Interest, we received replies from St. Francis
Hospital and Medical Center, Connecticut Children’s Medical
Center, Bristol Hospital, and a combined response from Hartford
Hospital and The Hospital of Central Connecticut.
I am pleased to now make these documents available for your
review.
When reading the documents it is important to recognize they
were submitted to us on August 1, 2008. As expected, the
discussions that have taken place between us and the hospitals
have led the parties to substantially revise much of what was
originally proposed. We consider this to be a positive and
common occurrence when six organizations get together to develop
important and new models of collaboration.
I will continue to keep you informed as the process moves
forward.
