CSEC Campaign
The Connecticut State Employee Campaign for Charitable Giving
(CSEC) is poised to get underway. During last year’s campaign,
the generosity of UConn Health Center employees again secured
the #1 spot for the most funds raised by a state agency
($179,875.00). This is an awesome achievement!
I believe that activities like the CSEC Campaign provide an
opportunity for us to come together as a community in support of
a common cause, particularly at a time when so many people are
facing hardship. I heartily support this effort and encourage
your participation. Please consider making a donation.
Diane Reynolds, Human Resources, will serve as our Campaign
Coordinator and will notify the Health Center community about
events promoting the Campaign. Each department has identified a
contact person who will distribute information and pledge cards.
The 2009 campaign kickoff will take place Thursday, October
1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Food Court.
Representatives from the Connecticut Food Bank, Give 2 the
Troops, Earth Share of New England, Mercy Ships and others will
be present. Participating vendors will contribute 20 percent of
their sales to the CSEC.
I look forward to seeing you at this event and I thank you in
advance for your generosity.
