Senior Administrative Level Appointments
I am pleased to announce that I have promoted Dr. Mary Casey
Jacob to Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, effective
immediately. The new title, with a direct report to me, is in
recognition of Dr. Jacob’s key contributions to our institution
in the area of Faculty Affairs. In addition to the
responsibilities she has carried since 2005 as Associate Dean,
she has in the last year, worked in the hiring and promotion and
tenure processes, and has provided oversight to our preparations
for our upcoming LCME accreditation. In the weeks to come, she
will take on additional responsibilities for faculty development
and faculty educator recognition programs at the Health Center.
Additionally, I am pleased to appoint Dr. Adam Silverman as
Special Assistant to the Vice President for Health Affairs,
effective immediately. In this new capacity, Dr. Silverman will
work with me on important strategic projects at the Health
Center in collaboration with members of the VP’s senior
team. Dr. Silverman’s experience and excellent insight will be
of great help as we carry out the clinical, research, teaching
and outreach missions of the health center and the communities
we serve.
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Jacob and Dr. Silverman
in their new roles.
