Student Program

We are happy to hear that you are interested in volunteering at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Since it is very important to us to make certain that you both enjoy and profit from your volunteer experience, we need to have as much information about you as possible. The more we know about you, the better job we can do in helping you choose the right assignment.

If you are applying to volunteer for school credit, please contact our Human Resource Department at 860-679-2426.

If you are not receiving school credit, but want to volunteer your time to assist our patients and their families, please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Read the general information material carefully. Discuss this information with your parents.
2. Mail the following forms:
   Application for Student Volunteer Service (PDF),
   Parent Permission (PDF),
   School Reference (PDF) and
   Background Information Sheet (PDF) to:

3. Give the Volunteer Screening Documentation Form (PDF) to your physician. Your health screening must be scheduled before you are interviewed by Volunteer Services. Complete instructions for this process are included in the Instructional Form for Volunteer Health Screening (PDF).
